12-Month FTC | Automotive Parts Category Manager
£50,000 + Performance-Related Bonus | Fully Remote | UK | 12-Month FTC
The opportunity
Our client is a specialist automotive eCommerce technology business working at the intersection of automotive, technology, and digital retail. They support major automotive programmes across European markets, using technology, data, and increasingly AI and automation to improve how automotive parts and accessories are categorised, presented, and sold online.
As part of continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Automotive Parts Category Manager to join the business on an initial 12-month FTC. This is not a generic Category Management position. They need somebody who genuinely knows automotive parts—someone who can look at product information, fitment data, specifications, and categorisation and understand whether it makes sense in the real world.
The role
You'll become a key automotive subject-matter expert within the business, taking responsibility for the quality, structure, and development of automotive parts and accessories across digital channels. You'll work closely with Category, Sales, Marketing, and Technology teams, helping ensure product information is accurate, commercially effective, and genuinely useful to the end customer.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for

Get help with your application
Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
The non-negotiable is real automotive parts knowledge. You may have developed this through automotive aftermarket, parts distribution, OEM/dealer environments, workshops, garages, motor factors, eCommerce, or automotive product/catalogue management.
You'll ideally combine that knowledge with experience across category management, product data, eCommerce, parts catalogues, or range management. You don't need to be a technologist. You do need to understand automotive parts well enough to challenge data and know when something isn't right.
Why consider it?
It's an opportunity to take genuine automotive knowledge and apply it within a technology-led, international eCommerce environment, rather than another traditional parts operation. You'll have autonomy, work fully remotely, and play an important role in how technology, automation, and AI are being applied to automotive eCommerce.
