Mechanical Electrical Trim (MET) Technician

Salary: Up to £37,900 basic salary
Location: Coalville
Working Arrangement: On-site, 5 days per week
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 45 hours per week; 9-hour shifts between 06:30 and 18:00

Overview

Our client, a major vehicle leasing organisation, is looking for an experienced Mechanical Electrical Trim (MET) Technician to join a high-volume vehicle refurbishment centre.

You’ll work on a modern vehicle fleet using up-to-date tools, diagnostics and digital job systems, carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim work to high reconditioning standards. The role also offers exposure to electric vehicles (EVs) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), with training available.

Responsibilities

  • Remove and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components.
  • Carry out strip-and-fit work ahead of cosmetic repairs.
  • Use digital job cards to manage work and order parts.
  • Support fault finding and vehicle diagnostics.
  • Support ADAS calibration.
  • Complete work to high-quality vehicle reconditioning standards.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a MET Technician.
  • Ability to work on-site in Coalville five days per week.
