T I Recovery Ltd is a specialist in bus, coach, and truck breakdown and recovery services, operating across the UK and Europe. The company supports commercial transport operators by providing rapid roadside assistance and dependable recovery solutions. Team members work with a wide range of heavy vehicles and equipment in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. Joining T I Recovery Ltd offers the opportunity to develop technical skills while contributing to the reliability of vital transport services.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Automotive Technician role based in Harlow. The Automotive Technician will perform routine inspections, diagnose faults, and carry out maintenance and repair work on buses, coaches, and trucks. Daily tasks include vehicle servicing, oil changes, suspension checks, and ensuring all vehicles meet safety and compliance standards. The role involves working with breakdown and recovery teams, preparing vehicles for roadworthiness, and maintaining accurate service records. The technician will collaborate with colleagues, use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment, and follow company procedures and health and safety guidelines.

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for commercial vehicles.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Oil Changes and routine servicing procedures.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Automotive Repair, including fault diagnosis and component replacement.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Suspension inspection, adjustment, and repair.
  • Formal automotive or mechanical qualification (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Experience working with buses, coaches, or trucks is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools, read technical manuals, and follow safety protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license; HGV license is an advantage.
