Job Details
12-month PAYE contract paying up to £20.00 per hour depending on experience.
Rotating Monday-Friday shifts: 6:00am-2:00pm / 2:00pm-10:00pm, with overtime and weekend work available.
Excellent opportunity to work within a world-class automotive testing facility, supporting vehicle development programmes for leading automotive customers.
About the Role
Are you a practical Automotive Technician or Workshop Technician looking to move into vehicle testing? This is a hands-on role preparing and operating vehicles within a specialist climatic wind tunnel facility, working alongside engineers and customers on cutting-edge vehicle development projects.

This Automotive Test Technician Job Will Suit:
- An Automotive Technician, Workshop Technician, Mechanical Technician, or Test Technician with a practical engineering background.
- Someone who enjoys working on vehicles and mechanical equipment.
- A professional individual who is comfortable working alongside customers in a testing environment.
- Candidates with a strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail.
Requirements
- You will hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in mechanical engineering, electrical electronic engineering, automotive engineering, or similar engineering discipline.
- A full UK driving licence is required.
Job Responsibilities
- Preparing and installing vehicles onto chassis dynamometers for testing.
- Operating climatic wind tunnel and vehicle test facilities.
- Driving vehicles during test activities where required.
- Supporting vehicle testing programmes alongside engineers and customers.
- Carrying out routine maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
- Supporting continuous improvement activities and ensuring the test facility operates safely and efficiently.

Location
This Automotive Test Technician job is commutable from Hinckley, Nuneaton, Atherstone, Tamworth, Lutterworth, Coventry, Leicester, and surrounding areas.
