AV Event Technician

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: London, UK (Moorgate/ Bank region)

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (dependent on experience), plus company benefits

Interview Process: 2-stage (Virtual and Face-to-face)

Hours: Monday – Friday – 40 hours (shifts between 7am – 7pm)

Due to an exciting new client win, we now have an opportunity for a proven AV Event Technician to join us on site at this well-recognised company headquarters, based in the Moorgate/Bank region of London.


About the Role

Working as the key AV Event Technician, reporting to the Technical Event Manager, you will be providing full AV and VC technical support across all event spaces on the client site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run AV events, including pre-event testing of audio, wireless microphone battery levels etc
  • Work closely with Event Managers to develop best practices and team training
  • Show-calling during events
  • Liaise with clients for large events to understand their requirements
  • Attend pre-production meetings required for any scheduled special events
  • Be the primary support to operate global production events
  • Own the event experience for the meeting host and attendees
  • Manage high profile events and become a trusted advisor
  • Escalate any operational issues to the appropriate level of support and making suggestions for improvements
  • Produce event reports which highlights the use of space
  • Assist with support for video/audio conferencing problems. Investigate faults and recommend further actions to rectify
  • Ensure multi-media/presentation rooms are maintained in good working order

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience working in an AV Event Technician role
  • Solid knowledge across a range of audio visual and video conferencing technologies
  • Background working in a corporate AV Event support environment
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to liaise at all levels
