Role: AV Event Technician – L2

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: London, UK (EC2N)

Salary: £42,000 - £46,500 (dependent on experience), plus company benefits

Interview Process: 2-stage (Virtual and Face-to-face)

Hours: Monday – Friday – 40 hours (rotational shifts; 7am – 4pm & 10am – 7pm)

Exciting new opportunity has arisen for a proven AV Event Technician, to join a well-known globally-recognised business, based in the heart of London to focus on meeting room support.

The position involves a high degree of exposure, sometimes working with executive management and managing directors of the organisation to provide the services listed below.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review Schedule for VIP Conferences
  • Review daily AV schedule and provide both remote and onsite room support
  • Provide first line break-fix support for all AV hardware
  • Ensure scheduled conferences are connected without any issues
  • Overall administrative works such as: responding to AV support hotline calls and emails
  • Carry out daily proactive rooms checks
  • Review, respond and handle support tickets received into the AV queue (BlackRock’s incident management tool)
  • Setup and provide in room support for events
  • Working with others within the team to support events, including pre-event testing of audio, wireless microphones, VC connections and displays
  • Liaising with clients for large events to understand client’s requirements
  • Attend pre-production meetings required for any scheduled special events
  • Primary Support to Operate in room systems for Global Production Events
  • Liaise with internal & external clients, vendors, venue account managers and project managers to successfully deliver events

Skills and experience:

  • AV support technician with proven support experience
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Process & procedure oriented
  • Experience within a customer-facing role
  • Working knowledge of Cisco AV technologies
  • Industry standard certification (Cisco, Avixa, Crestron, Extron)
  • Working knowledge and some experience with Cisco and other event related technologies and equipment
  • Working knowledge of Lighting and Acoustic skills
