I’m working with an established technical events business looking for an experienced AV Manager to take ownership of audiovisual delivery at one of its busiest hotel venues.
This is a brilliant opportunity for somebody who enjoys being hands-on technically but is also confident managing clients, supporting an on-site technician and identifying opportunities to grow the venue account.
You’ll be responsible for making sure every event is delivered to a high standard—from initial enquiry and proposal through to setup, live delivery and breakdown.
What you’ll be doing
- Coordinating all AV requirements across conferences, meetings and live events
- Setting up and operating sound, lighting, vision, staging and associated equipment
- Preparing proposals and supporting clients with their technical requirements
- Building strong relationships with the hotel’s Sales, Events and Operations teams
- Identifying opportunities to upsell additional AV and event production services
- Managing and supporting an on-site AV Technician
- Coordinating freelance technicians for larger or more complex events
- Managing equipment, stock, event schedules and weekly cost reporting
- Ensuring meeting and event spaces are technically ready
- Supporting Additional Hotel Venues When Required

What I’m looking for
You’ll already have experience within live events, audiovisual production or hotel conferencing, with strong practical knowledge across areas such as audio, lighting, vision, rigging, staging and event equipment.
You’ll Also Need
- Experience in a similar AV or event production role
- Strong hands-on technical knowledge
- Experience working within hotels, conferences or corporate events
- Confidence managing clients and discussing additional services
- Previous leadership, supervisory or people-management experience
- The ability to work independently and solve problems under pressure
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A professional, client-facing approach
- A full UK driving licence held for at least one year
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Flexibility to support occasional evening and weekend events

The package
- £28,000–£30,000 basic salary, depending on experience
- Overtime and bonus available, with OTE of £34,000+
- Typical working hours of 8:00am–5:00pm
