About Us

Trusted Technology is a premium smart home and AV integration company based in Nottingham, working with Control4, Crestron, and Lutron systems for high-net-worth residential clients across the East Midlands. We're on a mission to prove that world-class smart home experiences don't have to be London-centric.

Our clients are building their forever homes, and they trust us with some of the most important, most personal spaces they own. We take that seriously, and it shows in the calibre of people we hire.

We're also a business that never stands still. Technology moves fast, our client expectations move faster, and we're growing and changing to keep pace with both. That means the role you start in won't look exactly the same in a year's time, and we need people who find that exciting rather than unsettling.

We're also home to Our Space, our 20,000 sq ft experience centre in Nottingham (billed as the world's largest smart home and luxury cinema space), with five cinema rooms, a rooftop terrace, and a golf simulator. It's where our clients experience what's possible before it goes into their own homes, and it's where you'd be trained and supported too.

The Role

We're looking for an engineer to join our installation and service team, working directly in the homes of high-net-worth clients to install, configure, and support smart home and AV systems.

This isn't a role where you turn up, fit the kit, and leave. You'll be in beautiful homes, often occupied while you work, representing Trusted Technology at every moment you're on site. That means the way you work matters as much as the technical result: how you protect a client's home, how you communicate, and how you leave a room when you're done.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What We're Looking For

We're less interested in a perfect CV than in the right person. Specifically, someone who is:

  • Inquisitive — genuinely curious about how systems work, willing to dig into a problem rather than guess at it, and always looking to learn more
  • Adaptable, with an "adapt and overcome" mindset — comfortable moving between different homes, systems, and client personalities, able to think on their feet when something doesn't go to plan, and just as comfortable adapting to new tools, processes, and standards as our business keeps evolving
  • Excellent with end users — able to explain technical things simply, put clients at ease, and represent our brand professionally in someone's home
  • Ultra neat and meticulous — understands how to operate in homes of significant value, and leaves no trace of the work beyond the finished result
  • Experienced with high-net-worth clients, or a comparable environment where discretion, presentation, and service standards matter (private households, luxury hospitality, premium retail, high-end trades, and similar backgrounds are all welcome)
  • Positive, with a genuine can-do attitude — someone who brings energy to the team rather than drains it, looks for solutions rather than reasons something can't be done, and lifts the people around them

We're serious about that last point. We've worked hard to build a positive, supportive team culture, and we protect it carefully, because one negative attitude can undo the good work of everyone else around it. If that sounds like you, you'll thrive here.

We don't expect to find someone who ticks every box already. What matters most is passion for the work and the right instincts. If you're currently in a similar or adjacent industry, electrical, structured cabling, security systems, custom install, luxury hospitality, or high-end residential trades, and you're excited by the idea of working with cutting-edge smart home technology, we want to hear from you.

We're growing, and growing means change: new systems, new processes, new standards, sometimes new plans halfway through a job. If you're the type who adapts and overcomes rather than waits for someone to hand you a fixed set of instructions, you'll fit right in here.

Why Trusted Technology

  • Fully employed, not subcontracted. You're part of the team, with the security and support that comes with it.
  • A 25-mile working radius. No long-haul commutes or overnight stays; you're home most evenings.
  • The best tools, equipment, and vehicles. We invest in giving you everything you need to do your job properly, so nothing gets in the way of delivering your part.
  • Our Space. A genuinely unique facility to train in, work from, and be proud of.
  • Real career progression. We're scaling as a business and building out a proper structure, meaning genuine paths forward for the right people.
  • Work that matters. You'll be trusted with technology in homes where quality and craftsmanship are non-negotiable.
