The Role
An experienced AV Specialist is required to join the Technology function of a leading global Professional Services firm.
This is a hands-on technical role responsible for the design, implementation and support of advanced audio-visual and collaboration solutions across a global office environment. Working closely with Technology colleagues, business stakeholders and specialist third-party partners, the AV Specialist will help deliver reliable, secure and high-quality AV experiences that enable seamless communication and collaboration.
The role combines AV engineering, project delivery and senior-level technical support, with exposure to modern AV, AVoIP, unified communications and intelligent building technologies across an international estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing, implementing and supporting sophisticated AV and collaboration solutions across global offices, ensuring a consistent and high-quality user experience.
- Leading the technical delivery of AV projects in partnership with third-party integrators, overseeing projects through design, build, commissioning and deployment.
- Establishing and maintaining clear technical standards and documentation to ensure consistency across the global AV environment.
- Providing expert third-line support for AV systems and acting as an escalation point for complex technical and operational issues.
- Partnering with regional Technology teams to strengthen local AV support capabilities and establish consistent service standards.
- Mentoring and upskilling first- and second-line support colleagues, promoting knowledge sharing and continual service improvement.
- Continually reviewing AV technologies, standards and service delivery processes to identify opportunities to improve reliability, usability and sustainability.
- Managing the integration of new hardware and software technologies, including AVoIP, networked audio and intelligent building systems.
- Ensuring AV solutions are deployed securely and efficiently, maintaining the high standards of service quality, confidentiality and information security expected within a Professional Services environment.
- Responding flexibly to global business requirements, including occasional out-of-hours support and international travel for project delivery, commissioning and complex issue resolution.

Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will be an experienced AV professional with a strong technical background and a track record of delivering and supporting enterprise-grade AV environments.
Key skills and experience include:
- Proven experience designing, commissioning and integrating AV solutions, with responsibility across the full deployment lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise AV and unified communications technologies within corporate or professional environments.
- Experience with hybrid event and production technologies, including platforms such as vMix.
- In-depth understanding of audio systems, including amplifiers, digital signal processors (DSPs), microphones and ceiling array microphone solutions.
- Strong knowledge of video and display technologies and enterprise video conferencing platforms, including Cisco and associated interoperability solutions.
- Hands-on experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting AVoIP technologies, including solutions such as Crestron NVX.
- Experience working with Dante-enabled networked audio environments.
- Knowledge of AV monitoring, management and control platforms such as Utelogy and Crestron.
- Practical understanding of intelligent building technologies, including IP-based security, lighting control and HVAC integration.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts relevant to AV environments, including VLANs, DHCP, subnetting, access control lists and firewalls.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and system designs and ensure completed solutions meet intended operational specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose complex issues across AV, network and integrated technology environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with technical teams, senior stakeholders, suppliers and end users.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining current knowledge of developments across AV, unified communications and workplace technology.
