AV Technician

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled AV Technician to join our headquarters team at a leading insurance firm. This role is key to ensuring the seamless operation of internal and external meetings, events, and video conferencing services across our offices. You will work closely with a small team including another AV Technician to provide hands-on support, assist with the implementation of new AV systems, and act as a bridge between technical teams and business users and the Meeting Room Coordinator to ensure the smooth cooperation between the booking and services requested.

40 per week (Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5 PM)

£36,738 per annum

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide daily operational support for internal and external meetings, including setup, testing, and troubleshooting of AV systems in meeting rooms and event spaces.
  • Act as the first point of contact for AV-related queries and issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Assist with the testing, rollout, and adoption of new AV and collaboration technologies, including conferencing platforms, room systems, and digital signage.
  • Work closely with the AV Technician and wider IT/project teams to report issues, contribute to improvements, and support project delivery.
  • Liaise with external vendors or service providers as required during installations or events.
  • Maintain inventory of AV equipment and consumables; ensure systems are updated and maintained.
  • Document processes, common issues, and fixes to support knowledge sharing and reduce repeat problems.
  • Support training and onboarding of users to help them effectively utilize AV tools and systems.
  • Assist with occasional out-of-hours or early-morning support for executive or client-facing meetings and events.
  • Setting up event spaces and temporary offices which involves moving chairs, tables and equipment.
