Role: AV Technician – Government sector
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, with shifts between 6am and 6pm
Location: Sunbury, UK, but with travel across England & Wales
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 (dependent on experience), plus company benefits and work vehicle
Interview Process: 2-stage (Virtual and Face-to-face)

We have a new opportunity for an AV Technician to join our highly collaborative judicial sector team to deliver and install AV requirements into Law Courts around England and Wales on a day-to-day basis.
This role will require extended hours and a willingness to travel and the ideal candidate will need to be smart, well-presented and extremely helpful as the role will be very client facing.
The role will also involve heavy lifting, the movement of large items and the person must be willing to attain Security Clearance if not already held.

Key responsibilities:
- Preparing and maintaining Audio Visual equipment
- Electrical Safety (PAT) testing of all Hire electrical equipment
- Testing and upkeep of current stock
- Assisting with maintaining an up-to-date record of all Sunbury based Kinly hire equipment on the internal asset management system
- Maintaining consumable stock levels for Government hire
- Securely wiping all Government Hire PCs of sensitive data on return from site and ensuring they are updated with relevant software and security patches
- Delivery and collection of equipment to client venues, primarily Crown Courts
- Installing, de-rigging AV requirements to enable presentation of evidence in Law Courts
- Working with Clients to ensure they receive excellent service
- Liaising with Clients and the office to ensure smooth running of the events
- Providing cover for on-site Government Hire installation engineers
Skills and experience:
- Technical knowledge of short-term AV solutions, including: Video set up/control, Audio set up/control & Wired and Wireless signal distribution
- Basic knowledge of video and audio production and postproduction
- Logical troubleshooting thought process
- Knowledge of IT, including Microsoft Office and both Apple and Microsoft operating systems
- Experience of working in a warehouse environment
- Good awareness of Health and Safety and safe working practices
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The confidence to work under pressure in a professional environment
- A UK driving license
- Flexibility as overtime will be involved, including some weekends, evenings and overnight stays required
- Comfortable going through the Security Clearance vetting (organised by Kinly)
