Role: AV Technician
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Shift pattern based upon a 40hr working week between the hours of 08:00 & 19:00 ensuring coverage throughout the period, some flexibility may, on occasion, be required
Location: London, UK
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (dependent on experience), plus company benefits
Interview Process: 2-stage (Virtual and Face-to-face)

We have an exciting new client; a company that is globally renowned operating within the luxury consumer market, and this brand new role, working on their impressive site will be providing dedicated support services to many facets of newly installed AV technology across this prestigious new UK headquarters.
The team will be working closely with the existing service support channels, including facilities and IT support for enhanced delivery and exceptional customer experience; a model which they’ll look to implement as their new standard across their global estate.
The team will provide support to several high-profile and key spaces, as well as meeting room and event support. This is in addition to daily function tests of the priority spaces, and ad-hoc, pro-active AV maintenance, problem solving and upgrade work.
As a Kinly AV Technician within the client team, you will be expected to support the requirements of the company by providing support of AV & VC equipment across the client site, leading and taking responsibility for 2nd and 3rd line technical faults, triage and escalating to the relevant service desk.

The technician will follow a shift pattern based upon a 40hr working week between the hours of 08:00 & 19:00 ensuring coverage throughout the period, some flexibility may, on occasion, be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as a technical resource and point of escalation when troubleshooting issues.
- Respond to client escalations effectively by maintaining efficient communication between all relevant stakeholders.
- Handling reactive support calls clients effectively.
- Daily room and kit checks undertaken at the start/end of the day, such checks will take into consideration room criticality and any known hardware issues etc.
- Communicate identified faults in a clear and detailed manner to our helpdesk colleagues and, where appropriate, to client stakeholders.
- Fault finding audio visual and video conferencing systems to a high level, under pressure.
- Work with new and emerging technologies including LED display solutions and video wall processors.
- Running AV events, including pre-event testing of audio, wireless microphone battery levels etc.
- Be the primary contact for event coordination.
- Liaising with clients for large events to understand their requirements.
- Attend pre-production meetings required for any scheduled special events.
- Primary support to operate global production events.
- Own the event experiences for the meeting host and attendees.
- Assist in the management of high-profile events and become a trusted advisor.
Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of collaboration platforms such as Polycom, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google
- Ability to operate and support Videoconference/UC/MTR hardware and software (MS Teams, Webex, Poly, Logi, Crestron etc) and to troubleshoot any potential issues relating to, functionality, audio feedback, no video etc.
- Proficiency in the operation and support of a broad range of AV hardware such as DSP’s, Media Switchers, audio and video mixers, multi-camera controllers Biamp, Tesira, Q-SYS, Extron, Dante, Crestron Toolbox.
- Avixa CTS preferred but not essential.
- Experienced in delivering support services to large corporate customers.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a small team or independently.
