Avaloq Developer Contract - Paying up to £455 Per Day, Inside IR35, Based in Glasgow, Hybrid Working, To Start ASAP
Your new role
As an Avaloq Developer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing software solutions across the Avaloq platform. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams to deliver robust solutions that support ongoing transformation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, customise and enhance applications within the Avaloq banking platform
- Deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions using Avaloq scripting and Oracle PL/SQL
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and design effective technical solutions
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support mission-critical systems in a complex financial services environment
- Ensure software is developed in line with security, performance, and quality standards
- Create and maintain unit tests to ensure reliability and stability of solutions
- Contribute to Agile delivery practices and ongoing platform enhancements
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices

What you'll need to succeed
- Strong commercial experience developing and customising solutions within Avaloq
- Hands-on expertise with Avaloq Scripting and Oracle PL/SQL
- Experience supporting and enhancing complex, business-critical applications
- Excellent understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Strong knowledge of banking and financial services systems
- Experience working within large-scale enterprise technology environments
- Ability to work effectively within Agile delivery teams
- Familiarity with multiple Avaloq modules such as: Securities Trading, Order Management, Settlements, Corporate Actions, Payments, Credit & Lending
