Your Role at a Glance
As our People Assistant, you'll play an important role in keeping our People function running smoothly, working closely with the People & Transformation Director across HR operations and the employee lifecycle.
You'll also work alongside our Talent Acquisition Specialist to help create a seamless journey from candidate to employee, supporting the coordination and administration that sits behind a great onboarding experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the start of their People career who is keen to get involved, learn quickly and build broad, hands-on HR experience. You'll gain exposure to different areas of People in a fast-paced, international business, working with a collaborative team and making a real impact on the employee experience from day one.
Location & Flexibility
- Full-time, permanent role based at our modern office in Holborn, London
- 40 hours per week, 9 am to 6 pm with a one-hour lunch
- This position is hybrid, with the expectation to go to the office 2 – 3 days per week
Job requirements
Key Responsibilities
People Administration / Operations
- Support day-to-day People operations and be a first point of contact for employee queries.
- Keep employee records, HR systems and documentation accurate and up to date.
- Prepare contracts, letters and documentation across the employee lifecycle.
- Coordinate payroll changes and support benefits administration.
- Support key People processes including absence, probation, performance reviews, family leave and employee changes.
- Maintain People trackers and support regular reporting across headcount, absence, turnover and other key data.
- Keep People policies, templates and internal guidance organised and up to date.

Onboarding & Offboarding
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to create a seamless journey from accepted offer to first day.
- Own new starter administration, including contracts, references, right-to-work checks and HR/payroll setup.
- Coordinate onboarding across managers, IT and internal teams to make sure new starters have a great experience.
- Manage probation administration and key reminders.
- Coordinate smooth and well-organised offboarding for leavers.
Office Management & Culture
- Keep our London office running smoothly, coordinating with our office provider and suppliers.
- Manage weekly food and refreshment orders and associated budgets.
- Own our company social and culture calendar, coordinating events, celebrations and activities across our global teams.
- Manage social and culture budgets, keeping spend organised and on track.
- Help create a welcoming, engaging office environment and a great employee experience.
About You
- Has some previous HR/People administration experience.
- Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Is warm, approachable and confident communicating with employees and managers.
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and discretion.
- Is proactive and comfortable taking ownership of recurring processes.
- Is confident using systems and working with employee data.
- Wants to build a broad career in People/HR.
