Your Role at a Glance
As our Talent Acquisition Specialist covering a maternity leave, you will own hiring across the business finding and attracting brilliant people into a wide range of teams. Your focus will be running the full recruitment process end-to-end, partnering closely with hiring managers to bring in the right talent, quickly and with a great candidate experience, working alongside the People team and leaders across the company.
This role is ideal for someone with in-house recruitment experience and a self-starting, results-driven approach, who is excited to work in a fast-paced, growing scale-up with a talented team. You'll have real ownership of your roles, from the initial briefing and sourcing through to offer, while working closely with hiring managers to keep processes moving and make good hiring decisions. Your work will directly shape the teams behind our portfolio of beauty and personal care brands and contribute to shaping our success.
Location & Flexibility
- Full-time, fixed-term contract (maternity cover) running October 2026 to mid-July 2027
- 40 hours per week, 9 am to 6 pm with a one-hour lunch
- Hybrid, based at our Holborn office, with the expectation to be in 2 days per week

Job requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full recruitment cycle for live roles across a variety of teams - from briefing and sourcing through to offer.
- Partner with hiring managers as a trusted advisor, keeping them proactively updated on progress and challenges, while ensuring they stay engaged throughout the process.
- Build high-quality pipelines using modern sourcing methods, including AI-enabled tools, to compete in a tight market.
- Run a sharp, well-organised process across multiple roles at once, protecting a great candidate experience throughout.
- Own recruitment reporting and data and use it to inform decisions and improve how we hire.
- Bring fresh ideas and best practices across talent strategy, sourcing and employer brand to help us attract the right people to Avenir.
- Help us build strong teams that reflect our values and bring the skills and experience we need as the business grows.
About You
- 2+ years’ experience in full-cycle recruitment, across a range of roles, levels and teams.
- In-house recruitment experience is ideal - you understand hiring as a partner to the business, not just filling a brief. However, we will consider those moving internally from agency.
- A strong direct sourcer, who keeps up to date with current methods and is comfortable using AI tools in your workflow.
- Genuinely autonomous - you take a brief and run with it and can point to results you’ve delivered.
- A confident communicator who partners well with people at all levels and keeps the process moving.
- Organised and data-minded, with an eye for clean process and reporting.
