Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Aberdeen, Glasgow, Inverness, Perth

Salary: £64,085 - £76,581 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The role

This is an opportunity to become the technical lead for a business-critical AVEVA PI platform that supports the collection, storage and delivery of real-time operational data across the organisation.

Working as part of a specialist technology team, you will take ownership of the AVEVA PI ecosystem, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision and associated interfaces. You will be responsible for ensuring the platform remains secure, highly available and fit for purpose, whilst supporting the integration of operational technology and enterprise systems.

This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working closely with infrastructure, cyber security and operational teams, and acting as a trusted technical expert for a critical operational application. You will have the opportunity to influence platform strategy, drive continuous improvement and play a key role in the future development of real-time data capabilities.

You will

  • Act as the technical specialist and subject matter expert for the AVEVA PI platform, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision and associated components.
  • Administer, maintain and support the platform, ensuring high availability, performance, security and resilience.
  • Configure and troubleshoot interfaces, connectors and integrations that collect data from operational and enterprise systems.
  • Lead platform upgrades, patching, disaster recovery testing, performance tuning and lifecycle management activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to users, project teams and suppliers whilst driving continuous improvement and adoption of platform best practices.

You have

  • Demonstrable experience administering and supporting AVEVA PI (OSIsoft PI) technologies, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (AF) and PI Vision within a production environment.
  • Experience configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting PI Interfaces, Connectors, SDKs, APIs and related integration technologies.
  • Strong understanding of application support, platform administration, performance monitoring, system resilience and technical troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of industrial control systems, operational technology, telemetry, SCADA environments or real-time operational data platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders whilst acting as a trusted technical specialist for a business-critical application.
