About The Role

Busy West End based Post Production facility are looking for an Avid Edit Assistant to join the team.

Key Skills Required

Applicants for the position should have good experience in the following areas:

  • Video & Audio Import & Export from Avid Media Composer
  • Link & Transcode of Rushes to Avid ISIS/Nexis via Media Composer
  • Experience transcoding to various formats using various transcoding software
  • Supporting editor/director teams in multiple Avid cutting rooms / remote
  • Management of rushes and edit assets from offline to Grade / Online / Sound
  • Auto Conform of Material to Broadcast resolutions
  • Creation of AS-11 DPP Masters incl. Visual and Filebased QC
  • Basic Online and Mastering (editing) abilities inside Media Composer
  • Experience uploading to web based storage (FTP/Aspera/Signiant or similar)
  • Good understanding of HD/UHD codecs, colour spaces & frame rates
  • Some experience with DaVinci Resolve would be ideal but not necessary.
