This is an exciting opportunity to join our Aviation business, supporting rotary aircraft operations that play a vital role in delivering essential services. Working within a highly skilled maintenance team, you'll help ensure aircraft remain safe, airworthy and available when needed. The role
As an Avionics Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting advanced aircraft avionics and electrical systems, helping to ensure the safe flying of aircraft in line with customer expectations. Working closely with the Avionics Supervisor and Maintenance team, you'll play a key role in supporting maintenance plans, achieving operational milestones and maintaining the highest standards of aviation safety and compliance.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Carry out planned line and base maintenance activities on rotary aircraft and avionics systems.
- Rectify deferred and carry-forward defects in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and the Minimum Equipment List.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair avionics and electrical systems to maintain aircraft availability and airworthiness.
- Ensure serviceable tools, equipment, materials and airworthiness data are available to support maintenance activities.
- Liaise professionally with colleagues and customers while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

This role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based on site at Staverton (Gloucestershire Airport).
Essential experience of the Avionics Engineer B2
- Experience maintaining and repairing aircraft avionics systems within a line or base maintenance environment.
- Proven fault-finding and rectification experience on avionics and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of aviation maintenance procedures, tooling control and ground support equipment.
- Understanding of Safety Management Systems and aviation flight safety principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to complete technical documentation accurately.
Qualifications for the Avionics Engineer B2
- Must hold a valid CAA part 66 B2 AML (preferred with EC-135 and/or H-145 type ratings).
- Basic IT Skills.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Line/Base Avionic Maintenance experience.
- Rotary experience.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
