The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Aircraft Mechanical Fitter to join a military aviation environment supporting the UK Military Flying Training System (MFTS) helicopter fleet.

The successful candidate will support the movement, line maintenance and base maintenance of H135 and H145 helicopters, working closely with Shift Supervisors and Certifying Engineers to ensure aircraft are maintained to the highest standards of safety and airworthiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations.
  • Carry out maintenance inspections, repairs and servicing as directed by the Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer.
  • Work to high standards to ensure the continued safe and reliable operation of the aircraft.
  • Complete maintenance activities, including work on avionic and electrical systems, in accordance with approved technical instructions and OEM procedures.
  • Carry out off-aircraft technical work within workshops as required.
  • Assist with the day-to-day running of the aircraft hangar, including aircraft movements and general housekeeping.
  • Support aircraft availability and operational requirements within the MFTS environment.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant procedures, safety requirements and quality standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
