About the Role
We are looking for an Avionics Repair Technician (ART) to join our team in Chester, supporting the repair, testing, and movement of critical avionic equipment used in demanding operational environments.
This is a varied and hands-on role that combines technical repair activities with logistics, compliance, facility support, and customer coordination. Working within a small, collaborative team, you'll play an important role in ensuring equipment is repaired, processed, and delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with strict quality and regulatory standards.
Following a structured induction and training programme, you will work with a limited degree of supervision while supporting both site operations and wider programme delivery.

- Maintain accurate technical, engineering, and compliance records to support audit, traceability, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate shipping, export, and logistics activities, including packaging, documentation, equipment dispatch, and receipt.
- Support site operations through inventory management, forklift operation, facilities checks, visitor coordination, and contractor administration.
- Assist with environmental, health, and safety activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and safe working practices.
- Provide flexible support to engineering, programme, and field service teams, including occasional travel for equipment collection, delivery, or off-site operational activities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
