A leading international financial institution is seeking an Assistant Vice President to join its specialist Aviation Leasing Credit Risk team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical foundations who wants to deepen their expertise in aviation finance, asset-backed lending, and portfolio risk management.

The Role

As an AVP in the Aviation Leasing Credit team, you will:

  • Support the preparation and review of annual credit assessments and new-business proposals, developing clear, well-reasoned recommendations for senior credit approvers.
  • Operate as part of the second line of defence, providing independent credit-risk oversight across new transactions and ongoing portfolio management.
  • Assist in monitoring exposures, risk trends, and performance across a globally diversified portfolio of commercial aircraft, engines, and helicopter assets.
  • Partner closely with Front Office deal teams to balance commercial delivery with disciplined credit standards.
  • Contribute to portfolio-management responsibilities, including watch-list activity, impairment analysis, provisioning, and credit-review reporting.
  • Work within a structured team of asset-finance and credit-risk specialists, gaining exposure to senior leadership and a clear sense of progression.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
