Are you a recognised Lloyd’s Insurance market expert with the ability to develop solutions that solve complex business challenges?
We are partnering with a rapidly growing global organisation that is investing heavily in its UK and Lloyd’s market proposition. As part of this growth, they are looking to appoint a senior leader to build and lead their Lloyd’s practice, helping shape strategy, drive market expansion and deliver innovative solutions to insurers, brokers and syndicates.
The Opportunity
This is a highly visible role where you will be responsible for defining and growing the Lloyd’s market offering while working closely with clients, sales teams and delivery functions.
You will play a pivotal role in identifying client challenges, developing tailored solutions and leading strategic engagements across the Lloyd’s ecosystem.
This is not a purely strategic role. We are looking for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, working directly with clients and owning solutions from concept through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Leadership
- Build and develop the Lloyd’s market practice
- Define strategic direction and future growth plans
- Develop capabilities aligned to emerging market needs and industry trends
- Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert across the Lloyd’s market

Client Engagement & Solutioning
- Work directly with insurance clients to understand business challenges
- Design and develop tailored solutions to address client needs
- Lead solution design activities and RFP responses
- Partner closely with sales teams on client pursuits and business development initiatives
- Provide thought leadership during client engagements
Transformation & Innovation
- Support business and technology transformation programmes
- Bridge the gap between business requirements and technology delivery
- Advise clients on future-facing trends and innovations impacting the market
Market Expertise
- Provide insight across the Lloyd’s and London Market landscape
- Maintain awareness of regulatory developments and market trends
- Demonstrate expertise across underwriting, policy administration, finance and delegated authority operations
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- Significant experience within the Lloyd’s of London insurance market
- Strong understanding of:
- Lloyd’s market operations
- Syndicates and brokers
- Delegated underwriting
- Regulatory and compliance considerations
- Proven solutioning experience, including:
- Solution design
- RFP ownership and leadership
- Client consulting and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to combine business expertise with technology awareness
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and providing thought leadership

Ideal Background
- Experience gained within a Lloyd’s syndicate, broker, insurer or specialist consultancy
- Strong commercial awareness and client-facing experience
- Track record of owning complex solutions end-to-end
