Luxoft's Cloud Transformation Programme
Luxoft is partnering with one of the world's leading financial market infrastructure organisations on a major cloud transformation programme and is seeking an experienced AWS Data Architect to help define the future-state architecture for a large-scale migration from Matillion to AWS Glue.
This is a highly strategic role positioned within the mobilisation phase of a multi-million-pound transformation initiative. You will work alongside senior engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders to assess the current environment, define the target-state architecture, establish migration patterns, and provide the technical leadership that will shape future delivery. The successful candidate will combine deep AWS expertise, data platform architecture experience, and strong stakeholder management skills to design scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions that become the foundation for a major enterprise modernisation programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the target-state AWS architecture across data, compute, integration, and orchestration layers
- Produce and maintain High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation
- Lead architecture reviews and prepare submissions for Architecture Review Boards (ARB)
- Make and document key technical decisions, balancing scalability, performance, resilience, security, and cost considerations
- Define reusable architecture standards, migration patterns, and implementation frameworks
- Design the architectural approach for AWS Glue-based data processing and workflow orchestration
- Architect and govern infrastructure-as-code and platform automation capabilities
- Design the integration of an Agentic AI migration framework into the wider target-state architecture
- Provide technical leadership and guidance across multiple delivery teams and workstreams
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish delivery standards, governance models, and best practices

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
