Job - AWS Architect

Location - London, UK

Experience - 15+ Years

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced AWS Architect specializing in Application Modernization to lead the transformation and refactoring of legacy systems into modern, scalable cloud-native architectures. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical vision and execution, guiding engineering teams to re-architect, refactor, and migrate core applications to AWS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Modernization Strategy & Execution: Lead end-to-end application modernization initiatives using re-architecting, refactoring, and re-platforming strategies (e.g., monolith to microservices).
  • Technical Leadership & Architecture: Design scalable, resilient, and secure AWS cloud solutions; guide developers on coding best practices, design patterns, and application standards.
  • Hands-on Development & Guidance: Code and review critical components, perform technical spike evaluations, and resolve complex application architecture bottlenecks.
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Establish automated deployment pipelines, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with product managers, business analysts, and enterprise architects to translate business goals into sound technical execution plans.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
