Position: AWS Engineer

Type: Contract

Compensation: $20 - $60/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week

Role Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure using core services such as EC2, S3, and RDS.
  • Implement and maintain identity and access management configurations along with network setups using IAM and VPC.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration through Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues using AWS CloudWatch and related monitoring tools.
  • Develop and maintain operational scripts in Bash and Python to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with robust security practices across all cloud operations.

Requirements

  • Have proven expertise with AWS core services including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, and CloudWatch.
  • Possess a solid foundation in Linux administration and shell scripting, particularly in Bash.
  • Have experience in developing automation solutions using Python.
  • Have a deep understanding of network basics and cloud security best practices.
  • Be hands-on with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
