About The Role
Hireful is seeking an experienced AWS / Python Cloud Engineer to join their team and help shape the future of their AWS-based infrastructure. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled individual to work on high-performance, cloud-native applications that handle real-time data streams. As part of the team, you will collaborate closely with software developers, data engineers, and DevOps professionals to design, develop, and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating impactful solutions that address environmental issues, with the ability to translate complex requirements into innovative cloud architectures.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial experience in building cloud-native applications within AWS, with expertise in services such as S3, Lambda, EC2, ECS, SQS, and Aurora. Proficiency in Python development is essential, along with a proven track record of designing highly available, scalable, and resilient software solutions. Experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as Helm, Git, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD pipelines, is required. Desirable qualifications include exposure to Java or C++, and familiarity with Microsoft Azure data services. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and a keen interest in environmental sustainability through technology.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, real-time applications using Python to meet business and environmental objectives.
- Build and deploy cloud-native solutions utilizing AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, SQS, and Aurora, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Implement containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes, adopting serverless architectures where appropriate to enhance scalability and efficiency.
- Monitor application health and performance using AWS CloudWatch and X-Ray, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure high availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, DevOps, and product managers; participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of infrastructure as code, automating deployments and updates to streamline workflows and reduce manual intervention.
