Agent-Directed Data Engineer

Up to £475/day | Inside IR35 (Umbrella) | 3 Months Initial | Hybrid – 3 days onsite in Aldgate, London

We're partnering with a leading consultancy delivering a major data transformation programme for a UK telecommunications client. They're looking for an experienced Data Engineer to design and deliver cloud-native data pipelines using AI-assisted development tools, helping accelerate the delivery of production-ready data solutions on AWS.

Key Experience Required:

  • Strong Data Engineering background with production ETL/ELT pipeline development
  • AWS services including Glue, EMR, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, Aurora, MSK/Kafka and Apache Iceberg
  • Strong SQL and PySpark skills
  • Experience designing data pipelines, transformations, and data quality processes
  • Ability to review and validate AI-generated code using tools such as Kiro, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or AWS CDK) and CI/CD experience
  • Telecoms, network operations, or large-scale operational data experience is highly desirable
