About The Role
We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to join Tenth Revolution Group on an initial 6-month contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work remotely or in a hybrid setting, contributing to the design, development, and optimisation of modern data platforms and pipelines. As an AWS Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in enabling advanced analytics, reporting, and AI-driven initiatives that drive business insights and strategic decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, product managers, and business stakeholders, to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions that meet the evolving needs of the organisation.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in cloud-based data engineering. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark, with a solid understanding of modern data tooling and architecture. Experience with AWS services, particularly Redshift, S3, Lambda, and Glue, is essential. Familiarity with data lakehouse architectures, including Apache Iceberg, and search technologies such as OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, is highly desirable. Additionally, knowledge of Knowledge Graphs and graph-based data modelling will be advantageous. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing data workflows using Apache Airflow and implementing CI/CD pipelines with CircleCI. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in agile environments are also important.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines utilizing Python and PySpark to process large datasets efficiently.
- Build and maintain robust data transformation frameworks using dbt, ensuring data quality and consistency across platforms.
- Develop, schedule, and monitor workflows with Apache Airflow to automate data processing tasks and pipelines.
- Create and optimise high-performance data warehouse solutions within Amazon Redshift to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Apache Iceberg lakehouse architectures for flexible and scalable data storage.
- Enhance search and indexing capabilities using OpenSearch, enabling advanced search and data discovery functionalities.
- Utilise Knowledge Graph technologies to improve data relationships, discoverability, and semantic understanding.
- Implement CI/CD best practices using CircleCI to streamline deployment processes and ensure reliable delivery of data solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Data Analysts, Product Teams, and Business Stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored data solutions.
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are adhered to, maintaining data integrity and reliability across the platform.
