Shape the Future of Data, AI and Cloud Transformation

Are you passionate about building modern data platforms and helping organisations unlock the value of data and AI?

We're looking for an experienced AWS Data Platform Architect to join a growing technology consulting practice delivering complex transformation programmes across the public sector and highly regulated industries. This is a senior consulting role where you'll combine architecture leadership with hands-on technical expertise, helping clients design, modernise and scale data and AI platforms that deliver meaningful business outcomes.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, engineering teams and business leaders, you'll play a key role in shaping data strategies, modern cloud architectures and next-generation AI capabilities.

The Role

As an AWS Data Platform Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of cloud-native data, analytics and AI platforms, helping organisations maximise the value of their data assets while ensuring security, scalability and long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect scalable AWS-based data and analytics platforms across the full data lifecycle.
  • Define target-state data architectures, platform strategies and technical roadmaps aligned to business objectives.
  • Lead the design and implementation of batch and real-time data processing solutions built on modern cloud-native architectures.
  • Integrate machine learning, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs) and emerging AI capabilities into enterprise platforms.
  • Advise clients on data strategy, platform architecture, governance, security and AI adoption.
  • Drive best practices across data engineering, analytics, AI engineering and platform operations.
  • Lead delivery teams and provide architectural guidance across complex transformation programmes.
  • Implement robust data governance, security and compliance frameworks within highly regulated environments.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Mentor architects, engineers and technical teams, helping to develop organisational capability and technical excellence.
  • Support the adoption of MLOps, AIOps and modern cloud operating models to improve delivery and operational effectiveness.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
