About the Role

About Us

Our client develops cloud-native software for freight, transport and logistics operators to optimise fleet utilisation, route planning and operational workflows. The organisation combines high-frequency operational telemetry with enterprise analytics to deliver decisioning, forecasting and automation capabilities that reduce cost per mile and improve on-time performance.

Job Description

This 12-month fixed-term contract focuses on designing, delivering and operating an AWS data platform that underpins analytics, machine learning and operational reporting. The role requires ownership of infrastructure-as-code, deployment pipelines and platform tooling to ensure secure, reliable, and cost-effective data flows from ingestion through to serving layers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and operate scalable AWS infrastructure for data workloads using IaC.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform and data product deployments.
  • Implement lakehouse and serving layer patterns to support analytics and ML workloads.
  • Apply security, governance and compliance controls across the platform.
  • Monitor platform health and lead performance tuning and incident response.
  • Manage platform costs and optimisation initiatives (FinOps).
  • Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to define platform APIs and operational playbooks.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
