AWS Data Lakehouse Engineer - Onsite - 6+ Months Contract- Inside IR35
At present one of our customers is in need of a AWS Data Lakehouse Engineer for an initial 6+ month contract for a Onsite Opportunity.
Project Details
- Job Title: AWS Data Lakehouse Engineer
- Location: Basildon, UK
- Onsite: 5 Days Onsite in Basildon
- Duration: 6 months Contract + Possible extension
- Start Date: ASAP OR 4 weeks.
- Language: English language
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and implementation of lake house integration architectures, including data flows, process flows, and ELT/ETL patterns.
- Build, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and storage across data lake and lake house layers.
- Implement and uphold data governance, security, lineage, and compliance best practices throughout the data lifecycle.
- Collaborate with platform, analytics, and engineering teams to ensure efficient data modelling, table design, and storage optimization (e.g., Iceberg/Delta patterns).

Technical Qualifications

- 7+ years of experience in a Data Engineering or similar role within a fast-paced, enterprise-scale environment.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Data Integration platforms such as IBM StreamSets or Informatica, with a thorough understanding of data transformation and orchestration processes.
