AWS DevOps Consultant / Engineer
Salary: £60,000 – £80,000
Location: Remote – occasional travel to client site in London
CPS Group are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer / Consultant to join a leading Tech Consultancy delivering complex, secure solutions across a range of high-profile projects.
You'll work across several programmes, including major UK Government projects and an innovative new technology programme focused on taking newly designed AI solutions and implementing and scaling them within live environments.
Candidates will need to either hold, or be eligible for, Security Clearance (SC).
Operating as either a Technical or Senior Technical Consultant you'll take a senior, hands-on role on across the full delivery lifecycle, working within agile engineering teams to design, build and deploy secure and scalable infrastructure.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and building new AWS cloud infrastructure
- Developing and deploying infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Designing, implementing and improving CI/CD pipelines
- Building and supporting platform services for containerised applications
- Automating deployment, operation and monitoring processes
- Supporting the deployment and scaling of new applications and services
- Applying security best practices across cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines
- Working closely with engineering teams to onboard products onto shared platform services
- Helping solve complex technical and infrastructure challenges
- Working directly with customers and technical stakeholders where required

We're particularly interested in engineers with strong experience across:
- AWS – strong commercial experience is essential
- Infrastructure as Code – Terraform, CloudFormation or similar
- CI/CD pipelines
- Containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Automation and modern DevOps engineering practices
- Designing and deploying secure cloud-based solutions
- Monitoring and platform services
- Agile delivery environments
Security Clearance
Due to the nature of the projects, candidates will need to meet the required UK security clearance eligibility requirements, including being a British Citizen and having lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
