Senior AWS DevOps Engineer - Preferably from UK
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to design, build, and automate secure, scalable AWS infrastructure and deployment processes within the Energy & Utilities sector. In this hybrid role, you will lead cloud automation, drive DevSecOps and observability practices, and optimize mission-critical cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and automate AWS infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
- Build and manage end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, release automation systems, and continuous monitoring workflows.
- Architect cloud services using AWS EKS, Lambda, S3, Glue, IAM, and advanced cloud networking components.
- Manage containerisation environments spanning Docker and Kubernetes across scalable cloud deployments.
- Implement Observability and DevSecOps practices across all production and non-production cloud workloads.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to drive continuous improvements in performance, reliability, security, and operational excellence.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Strong AWS Experience: Proven track record in designing and maintaining enterprise-grade AWS cloud environments.
- Infrastructure as Code: Expert knowledge of Terraform and CloudFormation.
- CI/CD & Version Control: Extensive background with CI/CD platforms and Git workflows.
- Container Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Docker and AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
- Scripting & Systems: Proficiency in Python, Bash, and Linux administration.
- Observability & DevSecOps: Practical implementation of monitoring tools, security scanning, and compliance automation.
- AWS Core Stack: Deep exposure to AWS Lambda, S3, Glue, IAM, and cloud networking architectures.
