AWS Engineer (6 Month Contract)

Location: Remote

Contract: 6 Months

Rate: Competitive Market Rate Outside IR35

  • You'll play a key role in designing, building and supporting the AWS infrastructure behind a modern, scalable platform, working across cloud, Kubernetes, and serverless architecture.

AWS Engineer Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure supporting a high-availability healthtech marketplace.
  • Develop and maintain serverless architectures using AWS services.
  • Work with Kubernetes to deploy, manage and scale containerised workloads.
  • Implement infrastructure as code and automated deployment pipelines.
  • Build robust, secure and highly available cloud environments.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise AWS infrastructure and application performance.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions around cloud, serverless and containerised platforms.
  • Work closely with software engineering and product teams to support the delivery of new platform capabilities.
  • Implement appropriate security, resilience and observability practices across the AWS environment.
  • Help continuously improve engineering standards, automation and operational processes.

AWS Engineer Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience working as an AWS Engineer, Cloud Engineer or similar.
  • Proven experience designing and managing AWS cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services and cloud architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerised workloads.
  • Strong experience with serverless architecture and AWS serverless services.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Good understanding of CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.
  • Experience designing highly available, scalable and secure cloud platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a product-focused engineering environment.
  • Experience within healthcare or a consultancy environment would be beneficial.
