About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced AWS Security Analyst to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the security and compliance of our cloud infrastructure, particularly within AWS-hosted environments. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices, monitor security posture, and ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and CIS Foundations. Based in Camberley, Surrey, this position offers a hybrid working model, combining 2-3 days in the office with remote work to promote flexibility and work-life balance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing security within AWS environments, with a strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks including ISO 27001, SOC 2, and CIS Foundations.
- Experience with security tools and technologies such as intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and vulnerability assessment tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CISSP, or CISM are highly desirable.
- Prior experience supporting technical security and compliance in a fast-paced environment is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the security of AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data and systems.
- Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures aligned with industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and risk analyses to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into cloud architectures and deployment processes.
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate investigations to determine root causes and remedial actions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging security threats, trends, and technologies relevant to cloud environments.
- Prepare and present security reports and compliance documentation for internal and external audits.
- Support training and awareness initiatives to promote a security-conscious culture within the organization.
