Cyber Security SME – AWS Shield / DDoS Management
Location: Warwick, UK – Hybrid
Contract: 6 Months Extendable
Inside IR35
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a Cyber Security SME specialising in AWS cloud security and DDoS protection.
- Provide strong hands-on expertise with AWS Shield and AWS DDoS management.
- Design, implement and manage AWS security controls across cloud environments.
- Configure and manage AWS WAF, CloudFront and Elastic Load Balancing for application and network protection.
- Work with VPC, Direct Connect, Route 53 and EC2 security configurations.
- Monitor security events, performance and threats using CloudWatch and AWS security services.
- Manage encryption and secrets using AWS KMS and Secrets Manager.
- Support security architecture, risk assessment, incident response and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud and security teams to improve AWS security posture.
- Ensure AWS services and configurations align with security best practices and organisational policies.
