We are seeking an experienced AWS Solution Architect to join a strategic cloud transformation program with a London based firm in the Financial Services Industry. This role will focus on designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud architectures to support critical capital markets platforms, data services, and trading infrastructure.

The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, platform, and DevOps teams to define best practices for AWS architecture, guide the modernization of legacy systems, and ensure solutions meet the security, performance, and regulatory standards expected within a financial markets environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise-grade AWS cloud architectures supporting high-availability capital markets systems.
  • Define architecture standards and best practices across compute, storage, networking, security, and observability within AWS.
  • Lead the migration and modernization of legacy platforms into cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
  • Collaborate with development and platform teams to deliver scalable microservices and containerised applications.
  • Support the implementation of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation to enable repeatable and automated deployments.
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and automated release processes.
  • Ensure solutions meet regulatory, compliance, and security requirements relevant to financial services and capital markets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
