We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist technical consultancy providing bespoke solutions to solve complex operational problems. Due to growth within our Central Government businesses, we are looking for an experienced AWS Solutions Architect to join our growing team.
The Opportunity:
You will be working on one or more of our fast-paced, Agile projects; using Agile and architecture methodologies to enable the transformation of systems for customers. As a Solutions Architect working on a range of customer-facing technical solutions, you will take a leading role within the delivery team, scoping, managing and delivering projects to agreed timescales and budgets through our Agile framework. You will also define and assess high-level technical architectures while building and managing strong relationships with our customers.
Due to the industries we work in, we require the successful candidate to be able to obtain high-level security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British citizen and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
Typical Responsibilities Include:
- Design, document and deliver scalable, secure and resilient cloud solutions on AWS that meet customer business and technical requirements.
- Scoping, managing and delivering the full Agile project lifecycle including project deliveries, concept formalisation and requirements analysis.
- Provide architectural governance & assurance.
- Measuring and Reporting against delivery for projects you own.
- Lead technical discovery workshops, gathering requirements and translating them into solution architectures and delivery plans.
- Defining and assessing technical architectures, solutions & business requirements.
- Produce high-level and low-level solution designs, ensuring alignment with AWS best practices and Well-Architected principles.
- Providing consultancy support to customers, assisting them with technology choices and solutions to complex problems.
- Providing leadership and support to delivery team members as required.

The Fit:
The successful candidate will have previous Architecture experience with a strong understanding of complex technical systems and the various services & tools available to ensure technical delivery. You will have experience of:
- Defining and assessing technical architectures, requirements and solutions.
- Strong working knowledge of AWS.
- Governance & Assurance of architecture decisions.
- Agile project delivery and reporting.
- Creation of technical statements of requirements for cloud native applications and platform solutions.
- Design and Implementation of end to end solutions to support digital transformation and the modernisation of IT Infrastructure and services.
- Production of high- & low-level technical designs.
- Architecture principles including TOGAF or similar frameworks.
