Contract Role: AWS Workspace Engineer

Contract Location: London/Belfast (Hybrid)
Contract Duration: 6 months initially (with potential extension)
Contract Start Date: Immediate
Contract Classification: Inside IR35


Daily Rate Breakdown

  • Traditional Daily Rate: £450
  • Agreed Contract Rate (ACR): £346.95
  • Equivalent Annual Salary: £90,206 + £10,887 holiday pay
  • Payroll provider: Rockford Payroll Info for Contingent Workers – Rockford Pay

Overview

We are looking for an experienced AWS Workspace Engineer to join a large-scale technology environment. The successful candidate will have a strong cloud engineering background with hands-on experience working with AWS and strong Python development and scripting skills.

The role will involve supporting and developing cloud-based engineering solutions, with a focus on AWS and automation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and support cloud-based solutions within an AWS environment.
  • Use Python to develop automation, tooling, and engineering solutions.
  • Work with AWS services and cloud infrastructure to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the AWS environment.
  • Automate manual processes and contribute to improvements in cloud engineering practices.
  • Work collaboratively with wider engineering and technology teams to deliver technical solutions.
  • Support the ongoing development and optimisation of AWS cloud capabilities.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong commercial AWS cloud engineering experience.
  • Strong hands-on Python development and scripting experience.
  • Proven experience working with cloud infrastructure and engineering solutions.
