Rate: 322GBP/Day(Inside IR35)
Role Description:
- .Net/C# with strong AWS/DevOps experience to support an Ops type team. These roles are more SRE than pure software development roles, but there will be C# development needed as well.
- I would accept strong AWS/DevOps with weaker C#.
- Demonstratable experience of the following:
- Strong AWS and DevOps experience
- Ideally strong C#, but negotiable
- 5+ years recent experience
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / AWS DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in AWS Cloud, DevOps practices, automation, and operational support.
This role is primarily focused on maintaining, supporting, and enhancing critical production systems while driving reliability, scalability, and operational excellence across cloud environments.
The ideal candidate will possess deep AWS and DevOps experience, along with working knowledge of .NET/C# development.
While strong C# development capabilities are preferred, candidates with exceptional AWS and DevOps expertise and moderate development experience will also be considered.

This position sits at the intersection of Operations, Engineering, and Cloud Infrastructure, requiring a proactive individual who can automate processes, improve system reliability, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to application enhancements when required.
Key Responsibilities
Site Reliability & Operational Support
- Monitor, maintain, and support business-critical applications and cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure high system availability, performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
- Implement proactive monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
- Reduce operational overhead through automation and self-healing mechanisms.
- Support production releases and deployment activities.
AWS Cloud Engineering
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS-based infrastructure and services.
- Implement cloud best practices for security, availability, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Manage and support AWS services such as:
- EC2
- ECS/EKS
- Lambda
- RDS
- S3
- CloudWatch
- IAM
- VPC
- Route 53
- SNS/SQS
- Secrets Manager
- Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and application-related issues.

DevOps & Automation
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate deployment, provisioning, and operational workflows.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Develop scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Partner with development teams to streamline software delivery processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across DevOps and release management practices.
Software Development & Engineering
- Contribute to application enhancements and operational tooling using C# and .NET technologies.
- Develop utilities, automation scripts, and support tools.
- Assist development teams with production support and performance improvements.
- Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide fixes where required.
