What we're looking for
We're looking for people who are passionate about maths and want to help bring positive change to the young people we support. You should have a strong conceptual understanding of mathematics and the enthusiasm to inspire others with it. You should also be highly organised and self-motivated, with the drive to make a real difference.
We exist to serve pupils from backgrounds that are under-represented in university mathematics, and believe that we do this better when our team includes people who are from these backgrounds themselves. If you consider yourself to be from a background where progressing to university mathematics is not the norm then we strongly encourage you to apply.
About Axiom Maths
Axiom Maths is a maths education charity on a mission to help every child with the heart and head for maths realise the potential of their power - especially those whose potential is too often held back by disadvantage. Every year 30,000 children who were top performers at the end of primary school don't go on to get top GCSE grades in maths. We aim to change that by partnering with schools across England and Wales to run fully-funded in-school or online maths circles. Pupils tackle challenging and rewarding maths problems in a supportive social group where the subject is valued.
About the role
This is an exciting chance to share your passion for maths, challenge young minds and nurture mathematical talent in pupils from up and down the country.
As an Axiom Maths Mentor, you will lead weekly hour-long online maths circles with small groups of carefully selected high-attaining pupils. These aren't ordinary lessons. Axiom Maths is a taught enrichment programme that takes pupils beyond the school curriculum. Pupils tackle challenging and rewarding problems together, lose themselves in mathematical thinking, and leave each session a little more confident in who they are as mathematicians.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Build a community of mathematicians: Help pupils see themselves as mathematicians and feel part of a larger network of like-minded peers supporting each other.
