Key Responsibilities
- Deliver axle-system mechanical components to programme time, cost and weight targets.
- Deliver the commodity plan to quality, cost and timing targets, including maintaining the Worldwide Engineering Release System.
- Deliver Engineering Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) requirements and associated programme deliverables.
- Develop and support vehicle test plans, including detailed planning of test and development stages through to sign-off.
- Support engineering test teams with the identification and rectification of component or vehicle-level issues.
- Work with component engineering and vehicle attribute teams to resolve technical issues and develop designs that meet programme targets.
- Ensure applicable engineering standards are met throughout design maturation.
- Ensure programme design solutions comply with legal regulations, requirements management and design verification documentation.
- Coordinate effectively with project teams, vehicle dynamics development, purchasing, suppliers, production and service functions.
- Undertake other engineering activities as directed by the line manager in connection with the role.

Required Skills & Competencies
- Previous experience managing the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a project-team environment.
- Good working knowledge of product creation and delivery, change control, product definition and change-management processes.
- Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Ability to prioritise workload and deliver operational plans in a highly demanding engineering environment.
- Results-driven approach with strong influencing and stakeholder-engagement skills.
- Effective team player with a collaborative approach and willingness to support team members.
- Customer-focused mindset with a transparent and dependable approach to delivery.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience within engineering or programme-planning departments.
- Experience supporting automotive component development, vehicle testing and design-verification activities.
- Resilient and enthusiastic, with the ability to deliver results under pressure.
