Azure Cloud Platform Engineer

Location: Fully Remote Contract: Contract Day Rate: Up to £500pd IR35: Outside IR35

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to join a technology team working on the development, modernisation and improvement of cloud platforms and services.

The role is primarily focused on Microsoft Azure, with AWS used where there is a clear business or technical requirement. You'll be responsible for designing, building and improving secure, scalable and well-managed cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and improve Azure cloud platforms and services
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep or similar
  • Build automation and CI/CD pipelines
  • Implement cloud networking, security, identity and governance controls
  • Support cloud architecture and new technology implementation
  • Build and deploy infrastructure and platform services supporting Product and Data solutions
  • Work with technical teams to ensure new services are secure, supportable and production-ready
  • Provide specialist technical support and escalation for complex cloud platform issues
  • Develop automation using PowerShell, Python or similar
  • Contribute to monitoring, documentation, platform standards and operational readiness
  • Participate in an out-of-hours/on-call rota for critical services when required

We're looking for strong hands-on experience with:

This is a hands-on engineering role, ideal for someone who enjoys building, automating and improving cloud platforms rather than simply maintaining existing infrastructure.
