Azure Data Warehouse Developer (SharePoint/Copilot)
Outside IR35 | 6-Month Contract | Hybrid (3 days per week in Manchester)
We're looking for an experienced Azure Data Warehouse Developer to join a growing data team delivering modern cloud-based data solutions. You'll play a key role in designing, developing and optimising Azure data platforms that enable high-quality reporting, analytics and automation across the business.
Working closely with technical and business stakeholders, you'll help deliver scalable data solutions while supporting wider Microsoft 365 initiatives, including SharePoint and Copilot.
The Role
- Design, develop and enhance Azure-based data warehouse solutions using modern cloud technologies.
- Build, maintain and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
- Develop scalable data models, including dimensional and star schema designs.
- Optimise SQL queries and warehouse performance while maintaining high standards of data quality and integrity.
- Create and maintain insightful Power BI dashboards and reports that support business decision-making.
- Develop automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes.
- Integrate data with SharePoint Online, supporting document management, reporting and business collaboration.
- Support the adoption of Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365, enabling AI-driven productivity through well-structured, secure and accessible data.
- Work closely with BI developers, analysts and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
- Follow best practices around security, governance, monitoring and performance across the Azure data estate.

Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering Azure data warehouse and analytics solutions.
- Strong SQL and T-SQL development skills, including query optimisation and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory and the wider Azure data platform.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, dimensional design and ETL/ELT development.
- Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Experience building workflows and automations using Power Automate.
- Good knowledge of SharePoint Online, including integrating data, lists and document libraries with reporting solutions.
- Experience supporting or delivering solutions involving Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio or AI-enabled Microsoft 365 capabilities would be highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.
