About The Role
Our Manchester-based client is experiencing rapid expansion and is seeking a skilled Azure DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in optimizing and scaling their Azure-based infrastructure, with a focus on automation, security, and performance throughout the software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment processes, and managing cloud resources effectively. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative and innovative environment, contributing to cutting-edge projects and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role, preferably within a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps and the development of CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Hands-on experience with containerization tools such as Docker.
- Experience with version control systems like Git or Azure Repos.
- Understanding of Agile and Lean methodologies to facilitate iterative development and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of tools for code quality, security, and testing, such as SonarCloud and Snyk.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps.
- Automate build, testing, deployment, and infrastructure provisioning processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage and orchestrate Azure resources using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Support applications hosted on Azure App Services, Function Apps, and other related services.
- Integrate automated testing, code quality, and security tools such as SonarCloud and Snyk into development workflows.
- Implement monitoring and incident response strategies using Azure Monitor and Application Insights to ensure system reliability.
- Manage secrets, credentials, and access controls to uphold secure cloud practices.
- Collaborate closely with developers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure solutions that meet business needs.
