About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team on a 6-month initial contract basis. This role is vital in designing and implementing modern DevOps capabilities within a greenfield Azure environment. The successful candidate will take a leading role in establishing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, automating infrastructure deployment, and ensuring cloud governance and security are embedded throughout the deployment lifecycle. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, development, security, and architecture, you will help shape the organization’s cloud strategy and operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative cloud projects, leverage cutting-edge tools, and contribute to the digital evolution of the organization.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cloud engineering, with proven expertise in Azure DevOps and related technologies. Relevant certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-400 are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate hands-on experience in building and maintaining enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud governance. A solid understanding of Azure services, including AKS, App Services, Key Vault, Monitor, Storage, and Virtual Networks, is essential. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python is required. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitOps practices, and secure DevOps methodologies will be advantageous. Candidates should also have a good grasp of security tooling and best practices to embed security into deployment pipelines.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps and GitHub to streamline software delivery processes.
- Build and manage scalable Azure infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring infrastructure is reliable, repeatable, and secure.
- Automate configuration management and deployment processes with Ansible to enhance operational efficiency.
- Establish and enforce DevOps standards, including branching strategies, release management, and deployment practices.
- Integrate security, compliance, and quality assurance checks into the CI/CD pipelines to maintain high standards of security and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with infrastructure, development, security, and architecture teams to align DevOps practices with organizational goals.
- Provide guidance on best practices for cloud governance, cost management, and security policies within Azure environments.
- Continuously evaluate emerging tools and technologies to improve the DevOps landscape and automate manual processes.
