About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of cloud-native, full stack products on Microsoft Azure, primarily utilizing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). You will play a pivotal role in setting technical standards, guiding engineering best practices, and ensuring that solutions are secure, resilient, observable, and easy to operate in production environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong hands-on background across the full technology stack, with a focus on delivering scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud technologies, influence architectural decisions, and contribute to the success of complex enterprise systems.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in senior or lead engineering roles, with a proven track record of delivering and maintaining production systems. Expertise in Java, particularly with Spring Boot, REST API development, and performance optimization, is essential. Additionally, strong hands-on experience with Python for service development using frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask is required. Candidates should have demonstrated proficiency in building modern front-end applications with React, preferably with TypeScript, utilizing modern hooks and testing methodologies. Practical experience managing workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including deployments, ingress configurations, autoscaling, and secrets management, is critical. Familiarity with containerization using Docker, CI/CD pipeline creation with Azure DevOps, and implementing secure release strategies like blue/green or canary deployments is necessary. A solid understanding of security practices, identity management with OAuth2 and OIDC, and observability concepts such as logging, metrics, and tracing will set successful applicants apart. Additional qualifications include knowledge of Azure services like Azure Container Registry, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Bicep. Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of full stack applications, including React (TypeScript) front-end interfaces and Java/Python back-end services, ensuring high quality and maintainability.
- Design cloud-native solutions for AKS-based platforms, establishing service boundaries, resilience patterns, scaling strategies, and deployment methodologies.
- Develop and operate back-end services using Java (Spring Boot) and Python (FastAPI/Flask), focusing on API design, performance tuning, and security controls.
- Create modern, accessible user interfaces with React, emphasizing reusable components, efficient state management, and responsive design principles.
- Manage Kubernetes deployments on AKS, including configuration of manifests, ingress, autoscaling, secrets, and service-to-service communication.
- Implement DevSecOps best practices within Azure DevOps pipelines, automating testing, security scans, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality releases.
- Enhance observability and operational excellence by establishing logging, metrics, and tracing, defining SLOs/SLIs, and leading incident response activities.
- Embed security by design through secure coding, threat modeling, role-based access control, secrets management, and modern identity standards.
- Mentor and coach engineering team members, conducting code reviews, fostering best practices, and reducing technical debt.
- Collaborate across product, architecture, UX, QA, and platform teams to plan, prioritize, and deliver high-impact solutions.
- Set clear technical directions, balancing rapid delivery with sustainable, scalable solutions.
- Promote an inclusive culture that values diverse perspectives and continuous learning.
- Take ownership of delivery timelines and production stability, focusing on root cause analysis and long-term fixes.
- Streamline delivery processes by removing blockers, automating workflows, and ensuring high-quality software releases.
