About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Engineer to join our dynamic Technical Services team at Adria Solutions Ltd. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced cloud professional to lead complex cloud transformation projects, work closely with clients, and contribute to the strategic development of cloud solutions. The Senior Azure Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-scale Azure and hybrid cloud environments, ensuring they are secure, resilient, and cost-effective. Regular travel to customer sites, particularly in the Channel Islands, will be required to support key engagements and ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of deep technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a consultative approach to client interactions.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a strong background in cloud engineering, with proven experience in designing and supporting Azure environments. Relevant qualifications include hands-on experience with enterprise Azure solutions, hybrid cloud architectures, and infrastructure automation. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert are highly desirable but not mandatory. Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python, along with experience in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Azure Bicep, are essential. A solid understanding of network security, identity management, and cloud governance is also required. Additionally, familiarity with DevOps practices, monitoring tools, and cloud migration strategies will be advantageous.

Responsibilities
- Design and deliver enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Lead customer workshops, technical discovery sessions, and architecture discussions to gather requirements and propose optimal solutions.
- Create secure, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud platforms by applying best practices and industry standards.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Azure Bicep, or ARM Templates to automate deployment processes.
- Drive automation initiatives, governance policies, and DevOps practices to improve operational efficiency.
- Lead cloud migration and modernization projects, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum value.
- Optimize Azure environments for performance, security, and cost management, leveraging tools such as Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
- Implement security best practices, including Azure Policy, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Support pre-sales activities through technical scoping, effort estimation, and proposal development to win new opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, security, and service teams to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Mentor junior engineers, promote Azure and DevOps best practices, and contribute to team knowledge sharing initiatives.
