Role: Azure Infrastructure Engineer

As an Azure Infrastructure Engineer, you will join our Infrastructure Operations team, owning, supporting and evolving secure Microsoft Azure and hybrid Windows platforms. You will help ensure availability, performance, security and cost-effective operation across business-critical cloud services, while driving automation, standardisation and modernisation. Working closely with cloud, network, security, application and service teams, you will design, implement and operate resilient Azure solutions across the UK&I. The role combines hands-on Azure engineering with strong Windows infrastructure expertise to support migrations, platform improvement and reliable transition into operational service.

Azure Platform Engineering & Operations

  • Administer, maintain and support Azure subscriptions, management groups, resource groups and core platform services within established governance controls.
  • Deploy and manage Azure Virtual Machines, managed disks, availability sets/zones, virtual networks, network security groups, private endpoints, load balancing and supporting platform components.
  • Operate Azure identity and access services, including Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access control, managed identities, privileged access and access reviews.
  • Support Azure Backup, recovery services, business continuity and disaster recovery, including recovery testing and remediation of identified gaps.
  • Use Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, alerts, dashboards and service health information to manage availability, performance and capacity.
  • Manage cloud resource lifecycle, tagging, policy compliance, security posture and cost optimisation, escalating risks or exceptions where required.

Hybrid Windows Infrastructure

  • Administer and support Windows Server workloads hosted in Azure and on-premises, including Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2022.
  • Support Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy, DNS, DFS, DHCP, RDS, IIS, Certificate Services and Windows Failover Clustering in hybrid environments.
  • Perform server provisioning, configuration, hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, upgrade and decommissioning activities.
  • Support Azure-connected and migration technologies such as Azure Arc, Azure Migrate and hybrid identity where applicable.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
