Azure Platform Architect

Location: UK
Working Pattern: Hybrid / Client-facing
Security Clearance: UK Government Security Clearance required

We’re looking for an experienced Azure Platform Architect to join a growing cloud and infrastructure practice, taking a leading role in the design and delivery of secure, scalable Azure platforms for enterprise and public-sector customers.

This is a hands-on architecture position with significant client exposure. You’ll combine deep Azure platform expertise with strong consulting and leadership skills, helping organisations shape their cloud strategy, modernise infrastructure and deliver large-scale transformation programmes.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for defining and overseeing enterprise Azure architectures, from initial strategy and design through to implementation and ongoing optimisation.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Architecting and designing enterprise-scale Azure platforms.
  • Defining and evolving Azure Landing Zone strategies and shared-service architectures.
  • Establishing Infrastructure as Code standards and automation-led engineering practices.
  • Providing technical leadership and mentoring to infrastructure and platform engineering teams.
  • Facilitating cloud strategy sessions, technical workshops and migration-readiness assessments.
  • Designing and overseeing major infrastructure transformation initiatives, including data-centre exit and re-platforming programmes.
  • Carrying out Azure Well-Architected Framework reviews and establishing appropriate governance and security controls.
  • Ensuring solutions align with UK Government requirements, security classifications and relevant industry standards.
  • Communicating complex architectural concepts to senior technical stakeholders and C-suite audiences.
  • Supporting bids, proposals and pre-sales activity while helping to develop the wider cloud architecture capability.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
